Oprojeto

I´m a researcher, artist, writer, mentor, lecturer and artistic tutor, editor and cultural worker, based in Brazil and Sweden. My work is a narrative, an attempt to reach the ritual, what remains of an engagement, a certain sensitivity that can go unseen. My language meshes architecture, visual arts and crafts, with a poetic, literary, philosophical, autoethnographic and decolonial grounds. My practice is embedded in the historic Luso-Brazilian Sobrado house, southern Brazil, confronting and engaging its colonial heritage via notions of atmosphere, ownership, private and public, vernacular and contemporary, emancipation and meaningfulness. Generating intimate convivialities and an affective practice within and beyond the house, in different spheres and systems of knowledge, I am concurrently active in other positions, constellations and environments, during 2021/2022 some being: PhD candidate HGK FHNW; tutor Decolonizing Architecture, Royal Institute of Art, Stockholm; lecturer Research Lab, Konstfack, Stockholm; curator/coordinator Autumn Open Studios, Spring Open Studios, co-editor Urgent Pedagogies, IASPIS, The Swedish Arts Grants Committee’s international programme for Visual and Applied Artists; speaker Symposium Archival Interactions: Performing Intersectional Counter-Archives, Research Center for Material Culture and Maastricht University, Netherlands; speaker Home in a monument seminar, Estonian Academy of Arts; co-editor and contributor Architectural Dissonances, L´Internationale Online; and speaker Heritage and Decoloniality, Université de Genève – Geneva School of Social Sciences with University of Exeter.
